    Hours:18.25perweekonafixed term contractuntil 30 September2018 in thefirst instance

    Salary:The salarywill be between£39,188- £49,642 per annum(FTE),depending onqualificationsandexperience,plus benefits.


    Required Skills and Experience

    Thesuccessfulcandidatewillhave astrongacademicrecord,goodknowledgeofthescienceandreligion field, organisationalandpersonalskills,andwill be in agreementwith the Christianethosof TheFaradayInstitute.

    Main Duties:

    ·There areusually6-8 Courses peryear;manyare in Cambridgethough someare in otherpartsofthe UK oroverseasandare arrangedin collaborationwithlocal organisers.Thereis theassistanceoftheFaradayAdministrator andEventsManagerwhoorganise thepracticalaspectsofregistration andorganisation ofcourses.     ·Engagementwith theon-going activities and eventsofTheFaradayInstitute,includingseminars, lectures,dinner-discussionsand otherevents.

    ·Opportunitiesfor speaking at externaleventsin responsetoinvitationsthat areeither receivedpersonallyor directed toTheFaradayInstitute.

    Person Specification

    ·Agreementwith theChristianethosofTheFaradayInstitute

    ·Demonstrableinterestin thefieldofscienceandreligion

    ·Commitmentto mainstreamscience

    ·Excellentwrittenand verbalcommunicationskills

    ·ITliteracy, including MicrosoftWord,PowerPoint,Excel.

    PersonalSkills andAbilities

    ·Honoursdegree (science degree preferred) and a Christianunderstanding ofthebible, with a postgraduatequalificationdesirablebutnotessential.

    ·Proven track-record organisingevents

    ·Abilityand willingness to travelandengage with delegatesfrom a broadrangeofeducational,religious or non-religiousbackgrounds

    ·Flexibleworkinghours, withsome workrequiredatweekendsandevenings.

    ·Strongcommunicationskills and previousexperiencechairing publicmeetings.
