The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Valparaiso University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position for Fall 2013. Candidates must possess the Ph.D by August 2013. Duties involve quality undergraduate teaching and establishment of an externally funded research program involving undergraduates. Prior teaching and postdoctoral research experience are preferred.

located 50 miles SE of Chicago. Areas of active research in the
department include nuclear and particle physics, stellar
astrophysics, condensed matter physics, surface physics, and
atmospheric physics. Candidates should be interested in working at a
university engaged in issues in Christian higher education in the
