We are seeking someone who exhibits excellence in computer science and Christian commitment, and is passionate about teaching and mentoring undergraduate students from diverse cultural backgrounds in a Christian liberal arts setting.
Gordon College has a growing Computer Science program, in which faculty get to develop relationships with students over multiple years and courses.Class sizes are small, averaging 25 in the intro course, and under 15 in the others.Current faculty have a balance of academic and industry experience.Our Summer Practicum provides pre-internship experience for students, and a relationship with AIT-Budapest enables some computer science students to study abroad.We seek to apply computer science expertise to multi-disciplinary problems and needs.
We have strong relationships with local companies that provide our students valuable internship and employment opportunities, and a number of our students have participated in summer research programs.While most of our graduates take software or web development positions, some go on to graduate school.Employers consistently speak well of our graduates and frequently hire additional graduates.
