I share your view, Bernie, that certain Christian media personalities can be scandalous to the church. I doubt that the First Amendment is relevant to a solution, however; the whole point of that is to keep the federal government (and, as extended by a later amendment, the state governments as well) out of the church's business. Thus, it's our business as members of the body of Christ to do what we can to remove and avoid scandals. (Not that secular organizations are free of scandals, obviously, but we have a special responsibility to avoid them IMO.)

The ASA, incidentally, is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability( ). And I, as an elected officer of the ASA, am personally responsible (with other Council members) for safeguarding our financial honesty and stability.
