It would be necessary to investigate exactly what this "belief in the
Easter Bunny" actually consisted of, something that Dawkins deems
unnecessary. Dawkins is correct that we need not defer to Easter
Bunny advocates on the question of whether it exists, but he is wrong
to assume that this means we need not determine exactly what they do
claim (and pay attention to variation within the EB community) before
making a judgement.
