Hi all,

Trying to catch up here on my reading....

My sense is that in general a) conservatives tend to distrust science in general because of the evolution controversy, and more specifically b) part of the scientific underpinning of climate change includes an understanding of geologic history and paleoclimate that is millions and billions of years old, which obviously contradicts YEC. Therefore, to acknowledge as correct the science of climate change would in part be undermining their own positions on YEC.
