George, your points are well taken. My concern as a Christian, university
professor is the young, Christian students that enter a secular university
and are bombarded with a philosophy and worldview that may be quite contrary
to the Christian worldview. For such students this verse is quite
specifically true, "Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the
devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour." 1
Peter 5:8. Witness Jessie Kilgore, a 22 year old, former Christian,
internet-savvy, military veteran who committed suicide on October 25,
2008.How do you suggest we address such situations?
