Moorad- I think you should consider the term "conflation." It is equating two things that are not really equal. Evolution is a design process, not a being, like God. They can't be interchanged, in my opinion.

You know Bernie; I am going to say something right off the top of my head. I will take you post and just make some minor changes and it makes just as make sense, if not even more, than what you wrote.

-------------------

You know, God (evolution) doesn't just create good things. He (It) creates even more mutants, retards, etc. than He (it) does something better. So an example of something going downward (in behavior, thought, etc.) doesn't disprove the actions of God (evolution) in society.

Not all goes according to the will of God. An example: Moses didn't enter the promised land. That was God's punishment on Moses and the nation of unbelievers. "All goes according to God's will" as far as He allows us to face our consequences, but I don't think it was God's will or desire that Hitler try to exterminate the Jews, for a second example.

Rhodesia became Zimbabwe and Robert Mugabe was elected president. I recall being happy for that nation. Now, Zimbabwe is under one of the worst dictators in Africa. Is that African nation evolving? If so, to what? I think you cannot define the term "evolve" and so you are asking for something that can best be explained by saying that there is a temporal behavior and events in time are governed by some physical laws of Nature and the exercise of the free will of humans. Perhaps is best just to say that all is according to the will of God and let it go at that.

That's why I asked Gregory for an example in society of something that hasn't evolved- and he refuses to engage. Instead, he wants to discuss my credentials to see if I'm worthy to talk to, I guess. I'm not interested in arguing about degrees and who is qualified to share.

By the way, I have a BSEET (from Oregon Institute of Technology) and a Master in Ministry (Luther Rice Seminary).

Greg writes:

"I can only ask Bernie what makes him think that society *does* evolve
(other than analogy with 'organic' things and the simple 'change-over-time'
false equivocation)?"

I think this is a good question.
