I think Timothy Martin was referring to the leaders of creation
science, the
most prominent authors, not most of those that accept YEC among which
would expect broader views.

Timothy Martin is interesting mostly because his article sparked
among the preterists. Some supporting his views, and some attacking it.
And it created a rift, unfortunately between those that supported it and
those that did not.
