         A change of subject but I believe an important one - the quoted
    statement is
    mistaken. We must know God first as Redeemer. Israel did - the 10
    begin "I am YHWH your God _who brought you out of the land of Egypt_ (not 'who
    created the universe')- you shall have no other gods." & the Christian
    understanding of God should begin with God's revelation in the cross. "True
    theology and the recognition of God are in the crucified Christ."
    Beginning with
    creation is the source of many of the problems in science-theology discussions.
