My background is in theology. I don't claim to have the answers to the
questions adressed here. Yet I joined the ASA partly because of my
interest in the "mere creationism" approach, and would be sorry to see a
hard line taken against YEC in order to attract atheistic evolutionists.
Our credibility should come, IMHO, from what we advocate, moreso than
from what we refuse to tolerate.
Let irrationalism evolve out of existence, rather than being excluded by
