This has been said many time and many ways. There is a strong tendency
among conservative Christians to flock to hear words of encouragement
that "we are right and they are wrong" It doesn't often matter who is
telling them or what is being claimed. The "heart" of the messenger is
right so therefore whatever he says must be as true as the Bible itself.
I hesitate to compare this to those people with "itching ears" that Paul
said would bring teachers would say what they want to hear.
I am reluctant to blame this on "big money" made by the main spokesman.
I don't know anything about their finances.
