An article appeared in Nature, 385 Jan. 23, 1997, entitled
"2.5-miilion-year-old stone tools from Gona, Ethiopia", by S. Semaw et. al.,
pp. 333-336. The artefacts are securely dated between 2.6-2.5 Myr, according
to the authors. "The stone tools are thus the oldest known artefacts from
anywhere in the world."
