Life (?) on Mars

With the news of possible (emphasis!) evidence of primitive life forms
having existed on Mars, there are bound to be discussions of the
theological implications of this discovery. Questions such as: "Did God
create life elsewhere in the Universe? or does life just evolve?", "If
there are higher forms of life elsewhere comparable to humans, what is
their relationship to God?", "Did they sin?", "If so, what then?", etc.
Some of these are of course answered by speculation only. Others may
have a more grounded response. As scientists, we have an opportunity to
give a witness that our God is certainly capable of creating life
wherever, whenever, and by whatever means He chooses.
